Spent Output Age Bands (SOAB) is a metric that categorizes spent coins based on their age and presents them in color bands as a proportion of total coins moved. SOAB is a bundle of all spent outputs that were created within a specified ageband, and each line represents the percentage of spent outputs that were created within the time period denoted in the legend. In April 2021, SOAB showed an uptick in selling from coins up to one month old, while in May 2021, SOAB showed an increase in spent outputs between one-six months and five years.
