Cloud Quest Badges are hands-on labs in a controlled, live AWS console sandbox environment, where you use AWS services to architect and build live, working systems in order to pass. Quests give you real world experience editing solutions you may never get the chance to otherwise – they are both challenging and informative!

Golden Route Operations
- Leading frontend architecture for a new Angular 22 application for Golden Route Operations (a J&J Gaming subsidiary managing slot machines and cash-collection routes). The primary system, the Portal, is a management console administering users, employees, sites, and gaming machines — designed from the ground up for multi-jurisdiction expansion with architectural provisions for growing complexity, regulatory compliance, security, and data separation between states.
- A companion technician-facing Angular 22 app (mobile, used on a phone/tablet on-site to collect cash from machines) is built alongside it.
- Assess code quality of three legacy production applications (Vault, Terminal, Management Console) built by a third-party vendor, contributed to their development, then led the incremental modernization from Angular 16/18 to 20 — converting Observables to Signals, migrating to @if/@for control flow, and updating state management to signalStore — before the suite was sunset in favor of the new platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in daily scrum to groom features, triage bugs, and align on sprint scope.
- Obtained a Nevada gaming license.
Deloitte

Spearheaded development of a baseline Angular 17 application using NgRx SignalStore and SignalForms, establishing the technical foundation for a $2M+ project to accelerate internal tool delivery via an AI-driven, Jira-styled task-tracking system.
During my time at Deloitte, I accelerated cloud competency by securing three AWS certifications and nine technical badges, directly applying serverless architecture, data indexing, and security knowledge to design the application’s backend.
Designed the project proposal for an AI-driven system that would ingest internal Jira data to automatically link related issues, generate user stories and acceptance criteria, assign priority from historical patterns, and answer stakeholder questions with citations — then prototyped the retrieval layer on a representative subset to validate feasibility.
Configured an AWS Bedrock Knowledge Base over a test subset of internal Jira data stored in S3, using the Titan Text embedding model to chunk and vector-index the dataset for semantic search.
Developed a serverless backend using AWS Lambda to receive user queries and invoke the Knowledge Base’s RetrieveAndGenerate API — handling prompt construction, context retrieval, and response streaming in a single request.
Single-handedly designed and deployed the full application with an integrated chat interface via AWS Amplify and CloudFront, delivering a high-performance experience for tracking issues, querying internal knowledge, and resolving technical problems.
